- The Miami Marlins are a professional baseball team based in Miami, Florida. They are a member of Major League Baseball (MLB) and compete in the National League East division.
- The Marlins were established in 1993 as an expansion team. They played their first season in 1993 along with the Colorado Rockies.
- The Marlins have won two World Series championships. In 1997, in just their fifth season, they captured their first championship by defeating the Cleveland Indians. They won their second title in 2003, defeating the New York Yankees.
- Marlins Park has been the Marlins' home stadium since 2012. It is known for its unique and vibrant design, including the iconic home run sculpture in center field that activates when a Marlins player hits a home run.
- The Marlins became the first MLB team to win a World Series championship in their first postseason appearance. Their victory in 1997 was considered a remarkable achievement for an expansion team.
